Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m.Thursday at the Husar funeral home in Kellnersville and at 9:30 a.m. from the St. Augustine Catholic church at Riefs Mills with the Rev. Joseph Rauch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of the town of Franklin, Mrs. Zahorik, nee Elizabeth Hruska, was born there in 1863 and was married to the late John Zahorik in 1883.
Following their marriage the couple settled on the farm immediately north of the village of Taus which they operated until Mr. Zahorik's death in 1935. Since that time, the farm has been operated by a son, Anton. Mrs. Zahorik was a member of the Holy Rosary society of the St. Augustine congregation. Surviving in addition to the son, Anton, is another son, John, also of Taus, and Charles, of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Tisler of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Husar funeral home this evening until the time of services Thursday morning. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
