Herbert Alfson, 58, of Valders, died Friday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Valders Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jerry E. Moe will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Alfson was born April 25, 1901, in the Town of Cato, Manitowoc County, son of the late John and Emma Berge Alfson. He was employed for many years as a mechanic at William F. Christel Inc., Valders.
Mr. Alfson married the former Catherine Mann Oct. 23, 1928, at Clarks Mills. He was a member of Valders Evangelical Lutheran Church.
A son, Howard preceded him in death in 1934.
Survivors include the wife, three sons (private); a brother, Ben of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Harland Peterson and Mrs. Raymond Brennan of Valders, Mrs. Herbert Vogel of Clarks Mills and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 4 p.m. Sunday until 12:30 p.m. Monday when the casket will be removed to the church where the body can be viewed until the hour of service.
