OLE O. BERGE JR.

FORMER RESIDENT OF THIS CITY AND MERCHANT AT VALDERS, DIED SUDDENLY LAST NIGHT.

Stricken by heart failure as he was about to take his seat at the supper table last evening, Ole Berge, a former well known resident of this city, and later a prominent resident at Valders, died at his home in that village. Mr. Berge died almost instantly, never regaining consciousness after he was stricken.

News of the death of Mr. Berge was received here early in the evening and was a shock to friends who though advised that Mr. Berge's health had not been the best of late, had no intimation that his condition was serious. For fifteen years, Mr. Berge was an employe of the O. Torrison company of this city and he had a wide acquaintance in the city and county. Ten years ago he removed to Valders where he engaged in the mercantile business which he continued until three months ago when, because of failing health, he disposed of the store. He had since been under care of physicians.

Mr. Berge was 55 years of age and was born in the town of Liberty where an aged mother, two brothers and two sisters survive. He was married and leaves a widow and two children, one son and a daughter, at Valders.

Mr. Berge was a member of the local lodge of Elks and the funeral which will be held at Liberty Sunday will probably be attended by a delegation from the lodge. He was well known in the city and had a large circle of friends who will regret his untimely death.
