OTIS I. BERGE
Otis I. Berge, 83, of Rt. 1, Valders, died Wednesday morning at his home following a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Valders Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. Jerry E. Moe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Berge was born April 3, 1875 in the Town of Liberty, son of the late Ivor and Sigrid Roble Berge. He married the former Emma Marken
at Valders April 19, 1911, and they farmed there. He was a trustee, deacon and secretary of the church and for many years was clerk of the Sunnycrest School District. For 35 years he was a director of the Valders State Bank.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Misses Selma and Irene at home; son Prof. Orrin Berge, an instructor in agriculture and engin-
eering at the University of Wisconsin; four grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
Friends may call at Berge Funeral Home, Valders after 3 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour of service.
