Christian Herrmann, 81, lifelong resident of Manitowoc county, died at the farm home of his son Walter, Manitowoc Route 5, Sunday afternoon. Funeral @ St. Augustas church at Reif Mill. Born at Branch, May 8, 1854, Mr. Herrmann took up a homestead nearby. For some years, he worked as a blacksmith in Manitowoc. He retired from farming 15 years ago after selling his farm to his son Adam. He was married on November 27, 1884 to Margaret Antholtz, who survives him. He was a member of the Catholic Knights at Francis Creek. Survivors besides his widow and 2 sons, Adam and Walter, include two sisters, Mrs. Adam Specht of Manitowoc and Mrs. John Mohr of Green Bay and five grandchildren. The body will be taken to the home today from the Pfeffer funeral home.
