Mrs. Dora Jana, a resident of Manitowoc County the past forty-five years who has been making her home with her son, Joseph Jana at Branch, died at noon yesterday at the home of her daughter Mrs. William Rank, death coming suddenly.
Mrs. Jana was born in Bohemia on February 15, 1849 coming to this country with her parents when seven years old and settling in Brooklyn, New York for several years before migrating westward. She was seventy-four years old at the time of her death.Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock from St. Augustines church of which she was been a member for many years. Rev. Aloysius J. Scheuller will officiate at the services both at the church and at the cemetery near the church where burial will take place.Left to mourn her death are two sons Joseph of Branch, and Adolph of this city, three daughters, Mrs. William Rank of Manitowoc, Mrs. Emma Curry of Chicago who arrived last evening and Mrs. Steven Strouf of Stanford, Montana, who is expected here tomorrow. One sister Mrs. Ignatz Rabatcheck of Kellnersville also survives.
