Hall of Fame Professional Football Player. He received recognition as a professional football player, who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers Tigers of the NFL from 1938 to 1944 and the AAFC's New York Yankees from 1946 to 1947. He was named All-NFL in all nine seasons in the league. He was a two-time college All-America at the University of Mississippi. "Bruiser" Kinard was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971.
