Kit was employed at Addison Gilbert Hospital as a nurse's aide then as a Clerk for the State House in Boston, having retired when she was 70 years old.

She attended Miss Tina's School of Dance, where she loved line dancing and had participated in Miss Tina's recitals for over 40 years.

Kit never went anywhere without being impeccably dressed, everything always had to match just so. She also enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling and gambling with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, the late James Abrahamson, as well as six brothers, James, Patrick, Michael, William, John and Richard Barry; six sisters, Eleanor Barry, Margaret Barrett, Cecila Daley, Ann Wood, Agnes Balestraci and Elizabeth Collins. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Bridget (O'Halloran) Barry.

Kit will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
