Obituary for Frances Sue Underdown-Byrum
Services for Frances Sue Portwood Underdown Byrum, 80, of Whitehouse, will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse with Rev. Bennie Portwood officiating, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Byrum passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at at Trinity Mother Frances.
She was born February 17, 1933 in Whitehouse to Ben and Gladys Tipps Portwood.
Sue was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She graduated from Whitehouse High School.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Byrum was preceded in death by first husband, Richard "Dick" Underdown; sister, Helen Dean and brother, Troy Portwood.
She is survived by her loving family including husband of eight years, Dean Byrum of Walnut Grove; son, Paul Underdown and wife Angela of Mobile, Alabama; daughter, Pam Bounds and husband Dean of Blanchard, Louisiana; grandchildren, Noah, Daniel, Faith, Hope and Charity Bounds and Margaret Braucht whom Sue considered as another daughter.
Sue was a Dominoes Champion and loving mother and wife. She was a proud grandmother known as "Tutu" to her grandchildren and devoted her whole life to loving and supporting her family. Sue was a true friend to many and a lifelong friend to JoAnn Langford.
