Cornelius Ades, 95, a former 50-year resident of Tacoma, died April 11 in Spokane, according to word received by the News Tribune. Mr. Ades, best known as "Colonel," moved to Spokane 3 1/2 years ago from Tacoma, where he came in 1913. While here, he was a longtime member of the First Christian & McKinley Park Christian churches and was a member of the Weyerhaeuser Company's Twenty-Five Year Club. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James O. (Mary) Griggs, of Spokane; two grandsons, the Rev. Gary A. Bowker, of LaCrescenta, Calif., and R. Dee Bowker, of Spokane; and four great-grandchildren.
