He was a truck driver for most of his life. He was an honorary member of the Georgia Sheriff's Association; and veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Clifford Dozier; and two brothers; three sisters; and six grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Hazel Dozier, Cumming; children, Carl B. and Barbara Dozier Jr., High Falls, Leroy and Cassandra Dozier, High Falls, Jerry and Kathy Dozier, Valdosta, Amy and Troy Spain, Alabama, Bobby Dozier, High Falls, Michael Dozier, Moultrie, Sheila and Charles Trimble, Cumming, Cynthia Keen, Cumming, Teresa and Bobby Mullinax, Cumming; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Billy Dozier, Valdosta, James and Carolyn Dozier, Hahira; sister and brother-in-law, Sally Mae and Harold McNeal, Fla.; and a number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating. Burial will be held in Sawnee View Gardens.
