Charles was a son of Dr. George W. and Harriet Olive Winters King and he served in WWII for the U. S. Navy. His rank was Chief-Petty-Officer and was aboard the USS Octans. He worked at Armco Steel Corp., loved boating on the Ohio River and was a great carpenter.
