Mark Edward Anderson, 30 of Morgantown, formerly of Logan, made the ultimate surrender to his Creator Saturday, March 2, 2013, at home.

Mark was a student at West Virginia University and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the 2nd Gulf War in Iraq, where he served in Special Ops. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Logan and was a graduate of Logan High School.

Preceding him in death was his father, R. Michael Anderson; maternal grandfather, Paul E. Margocee; paternal grandparents, Hallena and William N. Anderson, and uncle, James Paul Margocee.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted loving mother, Kay F. Margocee of Charleston; brother, Joshua M. Anderson and sister-in-law, Sara Anderson and their children Kylie and Nathan; maternal grandmother, Patricia Amburgey, and step-grandfather, Bern Amburgey, all of Logan; aunt, Renee Margocee and her husband of Rory Perry of Charleston, and uncle, William E. Anderson and his special friend Vicki Johnson also of Logan.

Although Mark's time with us was brief, he made an impact on so many people. His beautiful smile, his sweet spirit and his compassion were obvious to so many. He loved his family dearly, especially Kylie and Nathan and his family loved him. Skiing was his passion and he recently skied in Colorado and was so happy. He now resides with the Angels and will always be looking down on us and will always be in our hearts.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 7, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 305 E. Street, South Charleston with Rev. Father John H. Finnell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home at Charleston.
