Mrs. Mary Pharris, 82, of 913 Buffalo St. Manitowoc, a former Fond du Lac resident died at 1 p.m. Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
She was born in Sparta, Greece on April 14, 1888, a daughter of John and Helen Hongus. She came to this country at the age of 10 years. She was married to Alex Pharris on July 10, 1910 in Chicago.
After their marriage they resided in Fond du Lac. Mrs, Pharris moved to Manitowoc in 1948.
Surviving are three sons, Charles and John, both of Milwaukee and William of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Francis Hartman of Route 4, Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gust Pappas of La Crosse.
Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1934. She also was predeceased by three sons and one daughter.
The body will be in state from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Urbonke and Schley Funeral Home, Manitowoc and after 4 p.m. Sunday at Zacherl Funeral Home in Fond du Lac.
Funeral services will be held here at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Greek Othodox Church with the Rev. John Alexindrou officiating. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Pharris, who died Thursday, were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The Rev. John Alexandrou officiated.
Pallbearers were Al** Pharris, Theodore Pharris, James Pharris, Alex Theodore, Thomas Pharris and *** ud Hartman.
Trisagion services were held at the funeral home Sunday evening. Burial was in Rienzi Cemetery.
