Lester R. Basken, age 83, a resident of 10018 N. Arrow Road, Two Rivers, entered into eternal life on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.
Lester was born on Oct. 19, 1923, in the town of Kossuth, to the late Henry and Beatrice (Havlichek) Basken. Lester completed his education through Francis Creek schools in 1938. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Lester enjoyed spending his time watching golf, hunting, fishing, and traveling throughout the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law: Chester Pech.
Lester was a very loving and caring brother and uncle.
It was Lester's request to have a private funeral service, with entombment at
Knollwood Mausoleum.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of both Holy Family's Cancer Care Center and River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, for the care and compassion they provided to Lester.
