Martin Rohde, Sr., one of the oldest settlers of Newton,
and a well liked citizen, died at the home of his son,
Ed. Rohde, at Northheim Monday, Nov. 30th, and will be
buried Thursday, Dec. 3rd.

Martin Rhode(sic) Dead-
Martin Rhode, a well known Newton resident and father of A. Rhode,
of the firm of Karnofsky & Rhode, this city, died at his home
yesterday, aged 74 years. He had been a resident of Newton for
thirty years and was engaged in farming. A widow, five sons and
four daughters survive.
Funeral arrangements have not been made as yet.
