SERVICES HELD TODAY FOR WALTER CHRISTY
Funeral Services for Walter Christy, 79, of Plumfield were at 2 p.m. today at Walker's Funeral Home in West Frankfort. The Rev. Rosoe Gant officiated. Burial was in Benton Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mr. Christy, a retired teamster, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in Union Hospital. He was born June 28, 1883 in Golconda, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Christy. He leaves daughters, Mrs. Opal Gayer and Mrs. Imogene Isaacs both of Plumfield; a son, James of West Frankfort; a sister, Mrs. Opal Brant of Golconda; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
