Mr. David L. Mayberry 48, of Decatur, died at 8:15 pm Saturday, June 27, 1987, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois. Memorials: Central United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
Mr. Mayberry was born in Decatur, son of Russell Lyn and Norma (Richards) Mayberry. He attended Central United Methodist Church ; a member & past President of The Decatur Park Board; Past member of the American Red Cross and Past Scout Master of Troup # 15; Past President of Garfield Little League Baseball.
He married Mary Sue Armsworth in 1958. She died in 1982. He then married Judith Ann Barbee in 1985.
Survivors include his parents of Decatur, his wife Judith of Decatur, two sons; Samuel of Champaign, and Russell of Decatur; three step-sons, Stephen Barbee of Mattoon, Mark Barbee of St. Louis, Mo., Scott Barbee of Oakley; one brother Dick Mayberry of Mt. Zion; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Norma Ann) Kelley of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
