Robert A. Melton Sr. 38, of Arlington Heights, Cook County,Illinois formerly of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois died at 8:30 am Thursday July 21, 1977 in Arlington Heights, Il.
Funeral Services will be 10 am. Monday in J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur with visitation 5 to 8 pm Sunday. Burial will be in Pleasant Point Cemetery .
Mr Melton was born in Decatur, son of Delbert and LaVonne (Young) Melton. He was an airplane mechanic and truck driver and a Navy Veteran.
He married Beverly J. McMahon. After the death of his first wife, he later married Arlene Johnson.
Surviving are his wife;sons, Robert Melton Jr.,& David;daughters, Deborah,Laura, Christine, & Cheryl, all at home; his parents of Decatur,brothers Edward Lee, Delbert Jr.,and Gale L, all of Decatur;his sister Mrs. Sharon Adkins of Mt. Zion, Illinois. Published in the Decatur newspaper.
