Bartie Eugene “Gene” Garrett, Jr, of Oklahoma City, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the age of 61. He was born April 20, 1950 in Oklahoma City to his parents, Betty and Bartie “Gene” Garrett, Sr. He was a graduate of Grant High School and attended UCO. Gene loved watching all sports including NASCAR racing. He spent many Friday nights at the State Fair speedway race track. He enjoyed eagle watching, dogs and spending time with his family. He was a truck driver & trainer for CRST which he loved because he was able to see so much of the US until he was injured 3 years ago. Gene will be greatly missed by his loved ones. Rest in peace!
