Wesley F. Katterheinrich passed to his eternal reward on Thursday, October 14th, at St. Marys, Ohio. A lifelong resident of the New Knoxville community and a farmer in Washington Township, he was born January 18th, 1882. He was a son of Solomon and Elizabeth (Eisley) Katterheinrich, and was the 6th child of 12, having 11 brothers and sisters who all lived to adulthood.

On November 19, 1902 he married Flora Settlage, a daughter of William and Maria (Katterheinrich) Settlage. After 30 years of marriage, Flora passed away on March 30, 1933. To this union were born five children: Francis (Mrs. Albin Stienecker), Jennie (Mrs. Ferd Meckstroth), Olga (Mrs. Clem Stienecker), Melvin, and Byron Katterheinrich (who md. Anna Maurer). After the death of his 1st wife, Wesley married Sarah (Kuck) Melter on October 16, 1935, who passed away in 1960.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Ferd Meckstroth and Mrs. Clem Stienecker; 1 step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lavina) Stolte, 9 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Three children: Melvin, Byron and Francis Stienecker; 4 grandchildren; 5 sisters and 6 brothers preceeded him in death.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in New Knoxville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Vornholt Funeral Home, New Knoxville.
