Elaine D. Buchner, age 88, of 709 S. 33rd St., entered into eternal life early on Tuesday morning May 20, 2008, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on Jan. 27, 1920, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Oscar and Marcella (Tadych) Dueno. On June 28, 1941, she married Edward G. Buchner at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1990. She was employed at the Mirro Aluminum Company as a press operator for many years, retiring in 1985. Elaine was a past member of the Altar Society. She also loved her dogs.

She was also preceded in death by one brother: Oscar Dueno Jr.; four brothers-in-law; and six sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
