Gertrude M. Burgett, age 91, of the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, formerly of 813 Wilson St., Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday morning, Sept. 2, 2007, at the Hamilton Memorial Home.
Gertrude was born on Aug. 7, 1916, in Kenosha. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Miller) Koehn. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers. Gertrude had been employed with the office at Manitowoc Engineering. On Sept. 15, 1937, she married Clifford R. Burgett at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1996. Gertrude was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Choir of the church. She enjoyed spending her time participating in mixed doubles baseball leagues and also the Manitowoc Women's Bowling Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Clifford, on Nov. 20, 1996; one son: Michael, on April 13, 1998; two sisters: Dorothy Sands and Leone Walter; and two infant sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1033 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc. Officiating will be the Rev. Steven Hahm, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
Relatives and friends may call at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
