FYRNE SCHUMAKER CARRON

Fyrne Schumaker Carron, age 84, of Two Rivers, presently residing at Naples, Florida, died on Monday morning, 7 April 2003 at Naples Community Hospital from complications of heart disease. Funeral services will be held Monday, 14 April 2003 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, St. Luke Site, Two Rivers with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc.

Fyrne was born on 12 December 1918 in Maplewood, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Elnora (née Feest) Schumaker.

She married Norman E. Carron on 6 September 1941 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on 23 July 1996.

Fyrne was a co-founder of the Carron Net Co., Inc., where she served for many years on the board of directors. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Two Rivers Elks Club, Historic Rogers Street Fishing Village, the Washington House Museum and the Branch River Country Club.

Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law: Eileen Carron, Palm Desert, Calif.; Mary Lee and Donald Schweiger, Two Rivers; and Jean Carron, Elm Grove, and Palm Desert, Calif.; one son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Bonnie Carron, Two Rivers; her special friend: Charles Webster, Two Rivers; seven grandchildren: Kristen (Andy) Darling, Cory (Emmett) O'Meara, Scott (Stacy) Schweiger, Jay (fiancee, Jill DelPorte), and Carron Schweiger, Jill and Jeffrey Carron, six great-grandchildren: Patrick, Ryan and Daniel Darling, Emma and Nolan Schweiger, and Scarlett O'Meara, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends also survive.

Fyrne was preceded in death by a daughter: Susan Carron; a granddaughter: Kay Koprowski; four brothers: Reuben, Lloyd, Dale, Leonard and his wife Grace.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, 14 April 2003 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, St. Luke Site, Two Rivers. Memorials may be made in Fyrne's name to the new church building fund at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Two Rivers; Lupus Foundation of America, 1300 Piccard Drive, Suite 200, Rockville, MD 20850; Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, P.O. Box 96305, Washington, D.C. 20090-6305; or the charity of your choice. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Fyrne was an extraordinary woman. Family and friends knew her for her cheerful, fun-loving approach to life. Her priorities were her family and friends. She was an incredible mother, wife, friend, care-giver, businesswoman and devout Catholic. She thought of herself as lucky in life and was grateful for all her blessings. Fyrne's wish was that those who knew and loved her will celebrate her life. She will be remembered with love and a smile.
