Darriel Berry, 67, passed away in a Plainview, Texas healthcare facility on Wednesday afternoon, the 6th of March, 2013 after a long battle with diabetes. Immediate services were not planned and his body was to be cremated and buried in the family plot at Denver City Memorial Park.
He was a life-long resident of Denver City. As a child, Darriel attended schools in Lubbock and Roswell for the deaf before attending public school in Denver City. He graduated from high school at Denver City in 1965. He attended college at John Connally Technical Institute in Waco, Texas where he received an associate degree in electrical, heating and air conditioning. He worked as an electrician for Arthur Electric, Interwest Electric and CJR Contractors in Denver City for many years.
Mr. Berry loved watching football, basketball and drag racing.
Darriel was preceded in death by his parents, A.P."Lonnie" and Dessie Berry. He is survived by a brother, James and wife June Berry of Denver City and a sister, Lonelle Taylor and husband Rick of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas and many friends and acquaintances.
