MARY J. CICHE
Mary J. Ciche, age 80, of 2120 Michigan Ave. Manitowoc, died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at her residence.
She was born March 19, 1925, in East Krok, daughter of the late John and Mary (née Kregelka) Ciche. Mary was a graduate of Kewaunee High School, class of 1942. She was a switchboard operator at Wisconsin Telephone Company until her retirement in 1975. After her retirement, she devoted her time caring for the needs of others. Mary also kept in contact with her co-workers thru the Pioneers of the Telephone company. Her deep faith in God was her source of strength in life. Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law; Evelyn Ciche, Manitowoc Lila Ciche, Luxemburg, Doris Ciche, Kewaunee; nieces and nephews: George (Susan) Blahnik, Sturgeon Bay; Joy (Thomas) Paulson, Manitowoc; Jan (Richard) Pittner, Des Plaines, Ill; Joni (James) Reinhart, Mequon; Alan (Cheryl) Ciche, Kiel; Darlene Wotachek, Manitowoc; Marilyn (Thomas) Janowski, Green Bay; Dennis (Beth)Ciche, Franklin; Anne (Dean) Renard, Green Bay; Sherry Bohm, Manitowoc and Karen (William) Vachon, Green Bay. Also surviving are great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin, Edward and John Ciche Jr. One very special sister and brother-in-law Eleanore and Gilbert Blahnik and a great nephew: Benjamin Pittner.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue, Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, until the time of service at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue, Manitowoc, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
