Thomas James Allingham's parents were Ruth and George Allingham. George was born in 1784, in Maryland and Ruth was born in 1802, in Kentucky. There was an 18 year difference in their age. George and Ruth died in Warren County, Illinois and their remains are buried there in the Silent Home Cemetery.

Thomas and Elizabeth Allingham's son George L. Allingham was born, on 26 Jun 1870, in La Grande. They had one other son, J. H. Allingham, about one year older. Do not know what happen to him at this time.

Thomas and his wife's family lived together as seen in the 1870 U.S. Federal Census for La Grande, Union County, Oregon. John Twaddell and his wife, Elizabeth with several children were farming while Thomas J. Allingham was making a living as a teamster.

Thomas, had a brother, David Warren Allingham, who came to the Oregon Territory as a pioneer and settled within three miles of where his remains are buried in the Pine Grove Cemetery near Peoria, Linn, Oregon. David and his wife raised a fine family on their wonderful farm land.

Thomas's last residence, was in the city of Portland, at 5111 63rd. S.E.. He death was registered by the City of Portland; Death Records, Vol. 9; Date of Burial: 08 Mar 1914; Cemetery Plot: purchased by his son, George L. Allingham. Thomas may have been living with his son at the time of his death.
