James was married twice; first to Mattie Davis who were married 11 Sept 1895 in Wayne Co TN. James and Mattie had 3 children, Zoe C Wright, Nollie Wright and Jetta Wright. James' second wife was, Suzannah Hadley and they were married, 11 May 1909 in Wayne Co TN. Their children were: Coy Ray Wright, Easter "Estra" Wright, Crayton "Craton" Wright, Icy Wright, Arlie Wright, Jospehine Wright, Rayborn Wright, Venice Wright, Jesse Wright and Evelyn Wright.
