Born in Pickens, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lula Mae Smith Cisson.
Mrs. Shepherd was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are three children, Kenneth Ray Shepherd and wife, Sonya, Norma Jean Shepherd and Dale Ray Shepherd and wife, Melissa Ann; seven grandchildren; four step grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two nieces, Betty Condrey and Willean Norris.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Shepherd.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
