Donald was a son of William Clay Parks & Mildred Baker. Following graduation in 1951 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving overseas in England until discharged in 1956. He joined the Ohio National Guard as a SP5 until 1959 where he reenlisted in the Air Force where he served until April 1961. He married Linda Kay Ishmael in 1972 and they had 3 children. Don loved woodworking, bowling and golfing.
