DANIEL R. DEVROY, SR.
Devroy, Daniel R. Sr. 11516 Oakwood Road, Brillion Age 57, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2002 at his home from a lingering illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 1, 1945 in Green Bay, son of Kenneth and Florence (Ormsby) Devroy.
He married Connie Yakoubek on June 21, 1969 in Menominee, Michigan.
Daniel worked at the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, the Packers and "bonding" with his buddies.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Connie; a daughter, Brenda Devroy, Brillion; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Dan Jr. (Michelle), Reedsville; Ken (Bonnie), Brillion; Rich, Brillion; six grandchildren: Kurtis and Christopher Sharpless, Autumn Devroy, Desiree and Danielle Devroy, Ashley Devroy; three step-grandchildren: Austin, Tyon and Anthony Teske; his mother, Florence Laing, Green Bay; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Mike) LaCount and their daughter Michelle (Erik) Dunlap, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his mother-in-law, June Yakoubek, Two Rivers; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Sue Yakoubek, De Pere. He is further survived by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Devroy, his step-father, James Laing, his father-in-law, Edward Yakoubek and a niece, Missy LaCount.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at the Wieting Funeral Home of Brillion with the Reverend Ross Henzi officiating. Internment will be at Knollwood Memorial Park and Chapel Mausoleum. Funeral visitation will be at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion, 215 S. Main Street, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, December 2nd, and then at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
