Frank Lulloff Chilton Times May 28, 1927

Frank Lulloff, who has been making his home here with his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Giese on Washington Street for the past month, passed away on Wednesday evening following an illness of several years. Up to about two weeks ago Mr. Lulloff was able to be up and around most of the time but recently suffered an attack of dropsy and heart trouble which weakened his condition and broke down his resistance, death resulting on Wednesday. Last week relatives realized that death was only a matter of a few days and his children were sent for, his daughter, Mrs. Albert Giese of Amery being with him when he passed away.

Frank Lulloff, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lulloff was born in the town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County on Sept. 14, 1855. He spent his boyhood on a farm in that town and after reaching his majority was united in marriage to Miss Wilhelmina Paul at Schleswig. They resided on a farm in Manitowoc County until 1891 when they moved to this county, purchasing the Sam Warner farm in Chilton town on which they made their home for many years. Mrs. Lulloff passed away on Nov. 4, 1918 and the following year Mr. Lulloff left the farm to make his home at Hilbert. Since the death of his wife, Mr. Lulloff has been living with his sons, and daughters, remaining for a few months at the time with each.

He was the father of nine children, eight of whom are living. They are; Mrs. Wm. Giese of this city, Wm. Lulloff of Hilbert, Theo. Lulloff of Timothy, Mrs. Fred Lulloff of Chilton town, Louis Lulloff of Stockbridge, Mrs. Albert Giese of Amery and Frank Lulloff of Loyal. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, one brother, Herman Lulloff of Kiel and two sisters, Mrs. Tena Stark of this city and Mrs. Peter Heinzen of Manitowoc Rapids.

The deceased was a man of sterling character, a kind and loving husband and father and his death is a hard blow to his many relatives and friends. During his residence on the farm in Chilton town he developed it into one of the best in that section and after retiring from active farm life was able to enjoy the fruits of his labors for a few years.

Short funeral services will be held today from the house with regular services at the Ebenezer Reformed church. Rev. W. A. Arpke will officiate and interment will be made in the family lot in the Breed cemetery.
