A native of Durham County, Mr. Andrews was the husband of Joyce Dalton Andrews, who survives, and the son of the late Willie Andrews and the late Dorothy Burton Andrews.
Mr. Andrews was co-owner and President of Custom Machine and Tool in Graham. He was a member of Baptist Temple of Alamance County for 38 years and was a former deacon. He was dedicated to the church bus ministry, bringing in hundreds of children to church, for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing golf with his many friends.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, of the home, he is survived by a daughter, Laurie Andrews Mann, and her husband, Philip, of Haw River; his granddaughter, Courtney Mann; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Andrews and Jan (Ronnie) Welborn; a brother-in-law, Phillip Dalton and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Darryl Andrews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Baptist Temple of Alamance County. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham. Other times they will be at the residence.
