Elaine F. Erdman, age 56, of 2408 Silver Creek Road, Manitowoc, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Green Bay. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
Elaine was born May 25, 1950, in Manitowoc, daughter of Mabel E. Lorenz Junk and the late Marvin A. Junk. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc. Elaine graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1969 after which she graduated from LTC for Day Care Classes.
She married Gene C. Erdman on May 16, 1975, at Rockwood Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rockwood.
Elaine was the former owner and operator of Lanesplace Day Care and most recently was employed at Harmony Living Center, Manitowoc. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Silver Creek Fire Department Auxiliary. Elaine enjoyed rubber stamping and crafts.
Survivors include her husband: Gene C. Erdman, Manitowoc; mother: Mabel E. Junk, Manitowoc; one son: Craig A. Erdman, Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law: Julie A. (Seng) Hang, Cedarburg; Holly S. Erdman, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Alyssa and Kou Hang; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Thomas L. (Joyce) Junk, Manitowoc; Mark L. Junk, Milwaukee; mother-in-law: Dorothy Erdman, Manitowoc; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws: Glenn (Lois) Erdmann, Appleton; Al (Beverly) Erdmann, Manitowoc; Lonnie (Lynn) Erdmann, Manitowoc; Dale Erdmann, Sheboygan; Mark (Debbie) Erdmann, Manitowoc; Betteann (David) Radue, Whitelaw. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father: Marvin A. Junk; father-in-law: Herbert Erdman; infant brother: Gary Junk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
