MILDRED F. FLENTJE

Mildred F. Flentje, age 93, of 960 S. Rapids Road, Manitowoc, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mildred was born on Jan. 29, 1914, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Lemuel and Mary Swejkar Hawkins. She married Ralph Flentje on Aug. 5, 1936. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1996. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, past member of the ladies group at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was active at the Manitowoc Senior Center in the craft department. Mom and Dad enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. Mom was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandparent.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph; three sisters; six brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi-Waldo Site. The Rev. John Schuetze will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting with the Flentje family.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Mildred's name.

The family of Mildred Flentje would like to thank the nurses and staff of River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center for the special care that was given to Mildred. A special thank you is extended to Sister Michael.
