Mary Bolen, 80, of Princewick, went home to be with her Lord, on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in the Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born December 13, 1932, in Ellison, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Winnie Bolen Farley.
Mary loved cooking, being with her family, but she dearly loved the Lord; she attended Cale's Chapel in Coal City, and the Beckley Church of God. For the past four years she had been a resident of Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beckley.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Gene Bolen, her children Mary Mageline Bolen, Johnny Edward Bolen, Gladie Marie Hylton, Glennis Eugene Bolen; eight brothers Clinton, Eugene, Denny, Walter, Thomas and Gene Autry Farley, and Raymond and Jennings Hall; four sisters Elizabeth Bolen, Betty Lou Worley, Garnet and Marie Jennings.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sharon Linville of Beckley; two grandchildren, Roger McAlpine of Beckley, and Sheri Hendricks of Beckley; and five great-grandchildren Brandi McAlpine, Haileigh McAlpine, Ethan Hendricks, Elijah Hendricks, and Evan Hendricks; her sisters Nellie Mullens, and Emma McBride, and her brother Junior Farley, and a host of nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
Services for Mary will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Hagee officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery, Coal City.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from noon until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
