Dallas Monte Culler, 56, 1131 Bridges Street was pronounced dead on arrival at High Point Memorial Hospital at 5:15 a.m. today. He had been in his usual health until suffering a heart attack. Mr. Culler was born December 9, 1908, in High Point, a son of Montgomery Commodore and Della (Flower) Culler. On October 30, 1936, he was married to Norma Williams, a graduate of the local schools, he attended Buie's Creek, now Campbell College, and also Wake Forest College. A resident of High Point all his life, he was in the automobile business for a number of years and at the time of death was with the Lackey Motors. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, seeing active duty in the South Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of Green Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Norma (Williams) Culler of the home; one daughter by a former marriage, Mrs. Peggy (Culler) Wiley of Bristol, Tennessee; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Delbert Boyles of Pilot Mountain, Mrs. Norris Salmons of Fort Laudrdale, Florida, and Mrs. Ruth Robinson of Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sechrest Chapel by Dr. E. W. Price Jr., pastor of Green Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will remain at Sechrest Funeral home until the funeral hour.
