Donald B. Gordon, age 83, formerly of 2003 14th St., Two Rivers, died Saturday, January 11, 1997, at the Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
He was born February 4, 1913, in Arkansaw, Wis., son of the late Thomas and Grace Benton Gordon. He moved to Two Rivers in 1941, and served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 including 1-1/2 years in Europe.
He married Rose DesJarlais on October 30, 1948, at Sacred Heart Church, Two Rivers.
He owned and operated a restaurant at 1523 Jefferson St. until 1952. He was an active member of the Two Rivers Eagles Club, and was club manager for more than 10 years. He was also a member of the Two Rivers VFW Club and was employed at Formrite Tube Company until his retirement in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Gordon, Two Rivers; three sons and one daughter-in-law, David and Pat Gordon, Larrabee, Wis., Dale Gordon, Two Rivers, and Steve Gordon, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Paul Reilly, Appleton; three brothers and one sister-in-law, William Gordon, Two Rivers, George Gordon, Westfield, Wis., Burton and Dorothy Gordon, Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Eleanore Buschman, Manitowoc, Dorothy and Clarence Kust, Kellnersville, Wis.; three grandchildren, Rachel and Michael Gordon, Larrabee, Wis., Nicholas Reilly, Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sam; two sisters, Melvina and Mary.
According to his wishes there will be no Funeral Service. Cremation will take place and inurnment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
