ARTHUR P. GOSZ

Arthur P. Gosz, age 76, of 1307 21st St., Two Rivers, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday morning, May 20, 2008.

Art was born on Sept. 25, 1931, in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County. He was the son of the late George J. and Lucille R. (Kleman) Gosz. He graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, with the class of 1949. He continued his education at the Manitowoc Business College, where he obtained his degree in accounting. Art enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, where he attended pilot training. He became part of the Goodfellow Air Base baseball team. On Oct. 16, 1954, he married Margaret L. Schuerman at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. Art founded and operated Art Gosz Associates in 1984. He had showrooms in Minneapolis, Minn., and Chicago, Ill., and operated in 10 states. Art sold his showrooms and retired in 2002. Art was an avid athlete and sports fan. He played baseball for Lincoln High School, Manitowoc; the Goodfellow Air Force Base; the Manitowoc County League; and various semi-pro baseball teams. He also was a scout for the Washington Senators. In retirement, art was an avid Brewers fan and golfer, and he loved to hunt with his grandsons.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008, at St. Anne's
Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
by the Rev. Richard Klingeisen, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Anne's Catholic Church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Art will be missed by his family and friends.
