Dr. Grogan's father, John Sebastion, was first a doctor in Kenmare, ND where he met his future wife Magna Melby, who was of superintendent of nurses at the hospital in Kenmare. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Melby of Feiring, Norway. After their marriage they moved to Flaxton, ND and then on to Wadena, MN. Where they remained until their deaths.
John M. was cremated and the remains are buried at the First Universalist Church in their memorial garden in Denver Co., CO.
