Ernest F. Guex, age 79, 551 S. Main St., Mishicot, passed away Saturday, October 10, 1998, at his residence.
Ernest was born October 17, 1918, in Manitowoc of the late Ernst and Margaret (Cochenet) Guex. He was a graduate of Mishicot High School.
He married the former the former Marie Stedl on June 24, 1941, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville.
Ernest was an electrician and owned and operated a TV repair shop for many years. He later worked as an electrician for Lakeside Packing Company. Ernest was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Holiday Rambler Trailer Club, where he enjoyed traveling. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and he loved being in the outdoors.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Marie; one sister Mildred (Oliver) Rusch of Manitowoc; seven sisters-in-law; Florence (Joseph) Podrabsky of Manitowoc; Claire Kath of Manitowoc; Gertrude Rivest of Green Bay; Helen (Robert) Princl of Mishicot; Vernie (Earl) Keehan of Maribel; Arleen Stedl of Little Chute; and Delores Stedl of Whitelaw; two brothers-in-law; Clarence and Michael Stedl of Menchallville; a special cousin Nola Miller of Mishicot and nieces and nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by four brothers-in-law: Joseph Stedler, Jr.; Walter Stedler; Victor Stedler; and Melvin Rivest
The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot with the Rev. John Neuser officiating. Entombment will be taking place at the Knollwood Mausoleum in the town of Kossuth. The Lambert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
