Raymond (Ray) A. Habermann, age 83, formerly of rural Chilton, passed away Wednesday morning January 6, 1993, at Chilton Village Home, Chilton.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Collins. The Rev. Arnold Ruddatt will officiate with entombment at the Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born January 8, 1909, in the Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County, Son of the late William and Ernestina Yahnke Habermann, he attended Niles School and St. Peter’s School.
He was employed by the Manitowoc County Highway Department as a Foreman for 47 years retiring in 1974.
He married Viola Haas November 28, 1940, at Kellnersville.
He was a former Clerk for the Town of Eaton for many years and a former member of the Board of Supervisors for Manitowoc County serving on the Highway Commission.
Survivors include his wife, Viola; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard, Chilton, William and Antoinette, New Holstein; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Rolland, rural Valders, William and Dorothy, rural Valders, the Rev. Elwood and Linda, Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Amy, Michael and Thomas.
Friends may call at St. Peter’s Church on Friday from noon until the time of service. Memorial appreciated to the American Cancer Society or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. The Christianson-Deja Funeral Home of Valders is assisting the family.
