LEROY R. HALLADA

LeRoy R. Hallada, age 77, formerly of 3032 Maplewood Road, Two Rivers, died peacefully early on Friday morning, April 11, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Home, with his family at his side, from a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.

LeRoy was born on July 23, 1930, in Two Rivers, son of the late Daniel and Leona (Lehrman) Hallada. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the class of 1948. He served with the U.S. Navy from July of 1948 until July of 1952. On July 28, 1956, he married the former Lila Scheffen at St. Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He was a heavy- equipment operator with the Manitowoc County Highway Deptartment for 37 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Men of St. Peter the Fisherman Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold and Richard Hallada.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2008, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Chapel & Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, April 14, 2008, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church from 8:30 until 10:15 a.m. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the Hallada family with funeral arrangements.

To the special staff at Shady Lane Nursing Home for the loving care given to LeRoy, the family expresses a sincere and grateful thank you.
