GLADYS G. HARGRAVES

Gladys G. Hargraves, age 82, of 1700 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died on Monday evening, May 18, 2009, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Denk) Grall. On Feb. 14, 1944, she married Roy R. Hargraves in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1999. Gladys was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company, Plant 7, and was a cook at the VFW Manitowoc, Michigan Shores and Roncalli High School. Gladys was a member of the Ladies Order of Eagles Aerie 706 and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 659.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister-in-law: Lester and Bernice Grall, Kenneth Grall; one sister: Charlotte Ruzek; and two brothers-in-law: John Meidl and Mike Keehan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Kieffer, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., led by the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 659. Friends may also call Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m.
