The son of Didace Guilmain aka (Joseph Gilman) and Adelina Blanchette was born in Franklin MA but grew up in Woonsocket RI where his father was a prominent contractor.
He married Mary Adaline Manville in
Appleton WI in 1908. They later moved to Cincinnati,OH and in 1927 to Los Angeles CA.
William attended the Los Angeles College of Physicians and Surgeons 1927-; he had also attended medical schools in Quebec Canada and Des Moines IA. Due to his untimely death in 1930 he never received his medical degree.
He had a son William and daughters Isabelle and Mary Patricia.
