Miss Thelma was the favorite teacher of most of her students.

She was the daughter of Milton J. Clanton and Nora Geeslin. Married Percy Denis Emory Pacetti, 6 November 1926, Palatka, Putnam Co., Florida. They were the parents of Mary Emilia and Kenneth Milton Sebastian Pacetti.

Thelma Pacetti passed away at her residence on March 10, 2013, at the age of 105.

Born in Pembroke, Ga., in 1907, Thelma moved to St. Augustine, Fla., in 1926. She met her husband Percy and then started teaching in a one-room school, the Mill Creek School, in the settlement of Mill Creek, Fla. Dedicated to the process of education, Thelma continued her advanced studies at the University of Florida and Stetson University. She taught multiple generations of students for 46 years, retiring in 1975. After her retirement, Thelma remained active with her tutoring, gardening, crocheting and traveling to visit her many friends and family. In her later years she enjoyed living with her granddaughter"s family in St. Petersburg and seeing the five generations of her family on the holidays.

Thelma is survived by her son, Kenneth Pacetti and his wife Patricia. Additional family members include three grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Eileen Pacetti, Kevin and Kim Pacetti, and Parrish and Michele Winesett. Great-grandchildren include, Andrew and Aileen Pacetti and their children, Nathaniel and Emmeline; Lani Pacetti and Daniel Pacetti; John and Michelle Pacetti and their daughter, Amelia Pacetti; David Pacetti and Matthew Pacetti; Emily Winesett and Stephen Winesett.

Thelma"s faith played an important part in her life and she lived it daily. In St. Petersburg, a funeral Mass will be held at St. Raphael"s Church at 10 a.m., Friday, March 15. In St. Augustine, a funeral service will be held at Craig Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 16, followed by her burial in Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery, Mill Creek.
