Anthony Clinton Hayward, 48, of St. Simons Island died Jan. 27 at his home.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church on St. Simons with the Rev. Franklin Graves officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Anderson Grove Cemetery in Riceboro.

Pallbearers are Andrew Tucker, Charles Faulks, Asbury Jackson, Curtis Austell, Al Shepherd, Kelly Armstrong, Melvin Ramsey and Michael A. Brown.

Surviving are one daughter, LaTrelle Hayward of Brunswick; one foster brother, Eric Southerland of St. Simons; one aunt, Emily Johnson of St. Simons, and several cousins.

Mr. Hayward was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a resident of St. Simons. He worked in construction and landscaping. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church on St. Simons.

Hall, Jones and Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
