George W. Tarman, 71 of Lima, died Sunday in Chester Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Centerville, Md. and lived for many years in Philadelphia, where he worked as a pipefitter for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He retired 10 years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Chester.
He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Stanley Bennett, and a sister Mrs. James Wright, both of Wilmington.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Robert Moreland Funeral Home, 9th and Main Streets Trainer. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
