Austin E. Huempfner, age 83, of 2534 45th St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, July 14, 1998, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.
He was born September 30, 1914, in Green Bay, son of the late William and Emma (née Zeise) Huempfner. He attended schools in Green Bay.
On July 31, 1937, he married Marvel Dworshok in Green Bay.
Austin was employed for a number of years with Zimonick Produce, Green Bay, and later with Stangels SuperValu, Two Rivers, where he was produce Manager. He retired in 1977. Austin was an avid gardener.
Survivors include his wife, Marvel; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary and Lynn Huempfner of rural Whitelaw; Richard and Judi Hempfner in Minnesota; and Tom Huempfner, Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Amy Plotner, Angie Huempfner, and Kelly Huempfner; one great-granddaughter; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Dorothy Dworshok, Oconto.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Private Funeral Services will be held at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth with entombment to follow in the mausoleum.
