FRANCES W. JAGEMANN

Frances W. Jagemann, age 77, of Johnston Drive in Two Rivers, died peacefully at home on Thursday evening March 11, 2004, surrounded by her family. Fran may have lost her battle with cancer, but in the eyes of her family and friends she won the war in her daily display of courage, optimism, humor and love. That, and her deep faith in God, made her an inspiration to all who knew her.

Frances was born May 20, 1926, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Marjorie Ellen (née Greene) Wick. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1944.

On Sept. 11, 1948, she married William T. Jagemann at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc.

Fran was a gracious lady of many talents. After graduation from Lincoln High School, she obtained her pilot's license and volunteered many hours as a spotter for the Civil Air Patrol. She also performed with the Billy Schultz Circus in the high wire act and as a gymnast. Fran began her employment with Jagemann Stamping Company as a secretary, retiring from the position in 1985. Fran was an avid needle pointer and a charter member of Quilters on the Square. She was personally responsible for keeping Rockwood Hospital for Pets, Merrill, Wisconsin, supplied with flannel quilts for all the dogs and cats. She supplied newborn babies at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center with knitted hats for many years. As her children were growing, she volunteered her time as a Girl Scout Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. Fran was a past President of the Catholic Junior Service League, a charter member of the Lakeshore Snowmobile Club, and a charter member of the Monaco Travelers Motorhome Club. Fran also represented the Jagemann Motorsports Race Team as the official "Pit-Mom."

Survivors include her husband, William T. Jagemann, Two Rivers; three children, son Robert Jagemann (Mary Rath-sack), Manitowoc, and their children Francie and Cassie Jagemann, son Thomas "TJ" (Cindy) Jagemann, Two Rivers, and their children Michael (Amy) Jagemann, Gregory and Stephanie Jagemann, daughter Christine (Denis) McCarthy, Merrill, and their children, Jeffrey, Patrick, and Kate Dixon, Sean (Sheila) McCarthy, Wausau, and their children, Joseph, Rhiannon, and Declan; Colleen (Kent) Lawrence, Oakland, CA, and their son Luke Thilgen; Emmet (Suzanne) McCarthy, Gilroy, CA, and their children Teresa & Patrick; a brother-in-law, Ralph Wiegand, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dicke, Manitowoc, Judy (Don) Remaker, Manitowoc; and a special Godchild, Patricia Gruber, Manitowoc.
